No shocking result in a game when eighth ranked Friendsfactory Germering (9-11) outleveled at home 12th ranked Trier (1-19) 83-61 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Friendsfactory Germering. Trier was better in third quarter 17-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Friendsfactory Germering made 18-of-20 free shots (90.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 21 Trier turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Magdalena von Geyr (180-84) who helped to win the game recording 32 points and 8 rebounds and the former international forward Jezabel Ohanian (170-77) who added 18 points and 5 assists during the contest. Four Friendsfactory Germering players scored in double figures. Coach Ruediger Wichote's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 10 players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Forward Leonie Edringer (182-95) responded with 8 points and 15 rebounds and point guard Sabrina Thomas (163-87) scored 13 points. Friendsfactory Germering have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to seventh place in South, which they share with Weiterstadt. Trier lost tenth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the twelfth position with 19 games lost. Friendsfactory Germering will face higher ranked Ladybaskets Wuerzburg (#4) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Trier will play against Muenchen B. (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
