The game in Bochum was also quite interesting. 5th ranked Magdeburg (12-12) played at the court of sixth ranked AstroStars (13-11). AstroStars managed to secure a 8-point victory 65-57 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Magdeburg. American Ryon Howard (198-84, college: Sacred Heart) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Jimmy Sherburne (191-91, college: Princeton) contributed with 18 points and 4 assists for the winners. Sherburne is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Steven Monse (200-90) answered with 17 points and 9 rebounds and guard Joel Mondo (186-88, college: USC-Salkahatcie JC) added 15 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Magdeburg. AstroStars moved-up to fifth place in Group North. Loser Magdeburg dropped to the sixth position with 12 games lost.
