Regular Season Round 23: Hanau - Weissenhorn 77-66

The game between second ranked Weissenhorn Youngstars (16-6) and fifth ranked White Wings (13-9) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Weissenhorn Youngstars were defeated by White Wings in Hanau 66-77. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Weissenhorn Youngstars. White Wings looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Weissenhorn Youngstars' players. American forward Cory Cooperwood (200-88, college: Wright St.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 18 points and 7 rebounds. Center Joleik Schaffrath (206-88) contributed with 14 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Canadian guard Jordan Baker (201-91, college: Alberta) answered with 26 points and 7 rebounds and power forward Jonathan Maier (210-92) added 12 points in the effort for Weissenhorn Youngstars. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. White Wings moved-up to fourth place in Group South. Weissenhorn Youngstars at the other side keep the second position with six games lost.
