A very interesting game took place in Ankara. It ended with only three-point home defeat of 14th ranked TED Kolejliler (7-14) to eleventh ranked Torku Konyaspor (9-12) 90-87 on Saturday evening. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But TED Kolejliler won fourth quarter 22-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Torku Konyaspor made 21-of-25 charity shots (84.0 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American-Bosnian guard Ernest Bremer (194-80, college: St.Bonaventure, agency: Higher Vision Sports) who scored 14 points and 8 assists. American forward Sean Williams (208-86, college: Boston Coll.) chipped in 15 points and 7 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Clay Tucker (196-80, college: Wisc.-Milwaukee) who recorded 20 points and 8 rebounds and American-FYR Macedonian point guard Marques Green (165-82, college: St.Bonaventure) added 10 points and 10 assists respectively. Four Torku Konyaspor and five TED Kolejliler players scored in double figures. TED Kolejliler's coach Burak Goren let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Torku Konyaspor moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Royal Hali and Istanbul BSB. TED Kolejliler lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth position with 14 games lost. Torku Konyaspor's next round opponent will be Usak (#13) at home. TED Kolejliler will play against the league's leader Anadolu Efes where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
