Very expected game when 12th ranked Fireballs (3-18) were smashed on the road by fifth ranked SV Halle Lions (13-9) 77-53. The game was mostly controlled by SV Halle Lions. Fireballs was better in third quarter 23-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Fireballs to just 6 points in second quarter. SV Halle Lions' next round opponent will be Rotenburg/Scheessel (#6) on the road. Fireballs will play against Rhein Main Baskets (#9) and hope to win that game.
