Second Stage Round 15: Rasai - Zalgiris II 105-89

Eleventh ranked Rasai (18-20) crushed at home 10th ranked Zalgiris II (18-20) by 16 points 105-89, which is the biggest margin this round on Saturday night. The game without a history. Rasai led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. Worth to mention a quality performance of center Karolis Guscikas (205-92) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points, 11 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 blocks. Forward Valdemaras Savostjanovas (200-84) helped adding 23 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Rasai players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was point guard Laurynas Beliauskas (189-97, agency: Beo Basket) with 26 points (perfect behind the arc making all seven shots !!!) and Paulius Valinskas (190-95) scored 14 points and 4 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Rasai moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Petrochema and Zalgiris II. Zalgiris II lost their third game in a row.
