Regular Season Round 26: SISU - Aalborg 96-102

Date: March 8, 2015
Bottom-ranked Aalborg managed to get a third victory, breaking the four-game losing streak on Sunday night. This time they won against seventh-ranked SISU in Copenhagen 102-96. SISU trailed by 19 points after 3 quarters before a 37-24 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 96-102 at the end of the game. Aalborg had a 32-21 advantage in offensive rebounds. American guard Trey Sumler (188, college: W.Carolina, agency: Two Points) notched 33 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the effort and American-Kittitian guard Javorn Farrell (196-90, college: UTPA) supported him with 28 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Farrell is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Even 29 points by American guard Darryl Partin (198-87, college: Boston U.) did not help to save the game for SISU. International forward Frederik Rungby (199-93) added 17 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the hosts. Four Aalborg and five SISU players scored in double figures. Aalborg maintains tenth position with 3-23 record. SISU lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with 17 games lost. They share the position with Horsholm. Aalborg will meet at home higher ranked Vaerlose (#9) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. SISU will play against Horsholm and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
