There was no surprise in Lviv where 10th ranked Halychyna (6-21) was defeated by seventh ranked Ferro-ZNTU (11-14) 88-76 on Tuesday. The guests trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 49-36 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Ferro-ZNTU outrebounded Halychyna 37-23 including 23 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for forward Maks Adam Konate (200-91) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Ivan Tymoschuk (190-91) helped adding 13 points, 9 rebounds and 10 assists. At the losing side the former international forward Yaroslav Zubrytskyi (202-74) responded with 22 points and guard Nikola Polyulyak (192-90) scored 7 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Halychyna's coach Maksym Fomichev rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Ferro-ZNTU moved-up to sixth place. Loser Halychyna keeps the tenth position with 21 games lost. Ferro-ZNTU will meet at home BC Odessa (#9) in the next round. Halychyna will have a break next round.
