The game in Jena was also worth to mention about. Third ranked Nuernberg (20-7) played at the court of 5th ranked Science City Jena (16-11). Nuernberg managed to secure a 8-point victory 85-77. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Science City Jena. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Science City Jena won third quarter 28-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Science City Jena's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Nuernberg moved-up to second place. Science City Jena at the other side keeps the fifth position with 11 games lost. Nuernberg's next round opponent will be Baunach (#9) at home and are hoping to win another game. Science City Jena will play against Giessen 46ers (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
