Fifteenth-ranked TBB Trier (8-18) was very close to win a game against second ranked ALBA Berlin (22-4) on Saturday. ALBA Berlin managed to secure only three-point victory 86-83. However their fans expected much easier game. The hosts trailed by 12 points after three quarters before their 29-17 charge, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time and get a 3-point victory in overtime. ALBA Berlin made 24-of-31 free shots (77.4 percent) during the game. TBB Trier was plagued by 31 personal fouls down the stretch. American swingman Reggie Redding (196-88, college: Villanova) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. The other American import point guard Alex Renfroe (190-86, college: Belmont, agency: Beo Basket) contributed with 21 points for the winners. Four ALBA Berlin players scored in double figures.
