We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when twelfth ranked Trier (2-19) outleveled at home 11th ranked Muenchen B. (2-19) 72-50 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Trier. Muenchen B. was better in fourth quarter 18-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Muenchen B. 48-28 including 17 on the offensive glass. The best player for the winners was forward Leonie Edringer (182-95) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Jana Genttner (173-94) chipped in 19 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was swingman Katharina Dathe (176-88) who recorded 8 points and 6 rebounds and the former international power forward Susanne Kernl (185-82) added 11 points respectively. Trier moved-up to eleventh place in South, which they share with defeated Muenchen B. Muenchen B. lost their fourth game in a row. Trier will face higher ranked TSV Amicitia (#10) in Viernheim in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
