Regular Season Round 32: Zalgiris - Tonybet 97-63

LKL top team - Zalgiris (26-4) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed ninth ranked Tonybet (6-25) in Kaunas 97-63. The game without a history. Zalgiris led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Tonybet's 32. Zalgiris forced 22 Tonybet turnovers and outrebounded them 39-21 including 24 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 37 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Tonybet's players. The best player for the winners was swingman Tomas Dimsa (195-94) who scored 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Vytenis Lipkevicius (196-89) chipped in 13 points and 4 assists. Coach Gintaras Krapikas's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play all 12 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Forward Vidmantas Sragauskis (200-86, agency: Mansfield and Associates) produced 18 points (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) and point guard Domantas Seskus (180-92) added 15 points respectively for the guests. Defending champion maintains first position with 26-4 record. Tonybet lost sixteenth consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with 25 games lost. Zalgiris will meet at home Lietkabelis (#8) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Tonybet will play against Juventus and hope to secure a win.
