Regular Season Round 32: DniproAzot - Cherkasy 85-76

Bottom-ranked DniproAzot managed to get a sixth victory, breaking the six-game losing streak. This time they won against fifth-ranked Cherkasy in Dniprodzerzhynsk 85-76. The game without a history. DniproAzot led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Strangely Cherkasy outrebounded DniproAzot 46-31 including a 19-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Eugene Harris (188-86, college: High Point, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 9 assists and point guard Ernesto Tkachuk (189-94, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) who added 15 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists during the contest. Four DniproAzot players scored in double figures. Naturalized Moldovan Andrii Kalnichenko (201-86) responded with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds and British forward Ashley Hamilton (201-88, college: Loyola Mary) scored 13 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. DniproAzot (6-19) moved-up to tenth place. Cherkasy lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with 14 games lost. DniproAzot will play against higher ranked Dnipro (#3) in Dnepropetrovsk in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Cherkasy will play at home against Ferro-ZNTU and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
