Regular Season Round 32: Dnipro - Khimik 60-69

An interesting game for Khimik (26-0) which played road game in Dnepropetrovsk against 3rd ranked Dnipro (17-11). Top-ranked Khimik managed to get a 9-point victory 69-60. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Dnipro. Dnipro trailed by 19 points after 3 quarters before a 21-11 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 60-69 at the end of the game. Khimik made 23-of-27 free shots (85.2 percent) during the game. Khimik outrebounded Dnipro 50-31 including a 16-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Khimik made 9 blocks. 24 personal fouls committed by Dnipro helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American guard Ramone Moore (193-89, college: Temple) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!). The former international center Igor Zaytsev (210-89) contributed with 11 points and 8 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) for the winners. Swingman Pavel Revzin (194-83) replied with 12 points and 8 rebounds and international Olexandr Mishula (192-92) added 15 points and 5 assists in the effort for Dnipro. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Khimik have an impressive 26-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 26-0 record. Dnipro at the other side keeps the third place with 11 games lost. Khimik are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Halychyna (#11) in Lviv in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Dnipro will play on the road against DniproAzot (#10) in Dniprodzerzhynsk and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
