Regular Season Round 32: Zalgiris - Juventus 76-62

LKL top team - Zalgiris (26-4) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat fifth ranked Juventus (18-12) in Kaunas 76-62. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Juventus. The game was mostly controlled by Zalgiris. Juventus was better in third quarter 21-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The winners were led by American James Anderson (198-89, college: Oklahoma St.) who scored that evening 15 points and the former international Paulius Jankunas (205-84) supported him with 6 points and 8 rebounds. Zalgiris' coach Gintaras Krapikas used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 16 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists by forward Arvydas Siksnius (196-87, college: Weatherford JC) did not help to save the game for Juventus. Simas Buterlevicius (200-88) added 14 points and 4 assists for the guests. Defending champion maintains first position with 26-4 record. Juventus at the other side keeps the fifth place with 12 games lost. Zalgiris will play against Lietkabelis (#8) in Panevezys in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Juventus will play on the road against Tonybet in Prienai and hopes to get back on the winning track.
