Regular Season Round 22: Neuss - Wolfenbuettel 64-46

There was a small surprise when fifth ranked TG Neuss (14-8) won against at home one of their biggest challengers Wolfpack Wolfenbuettel (15-7) 64-46 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by TG Neuss. Wolfpack Wolfenbuettel was better in fourth quarter 12-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. TG Neuss forced 25 Wolfpack Wolfenbuettel turnovers. It was a very good performance for American guard Marquita Waller (180-88, college: VCU) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists and 7 steals. Swingman Franziska Worthmann (177-86, college: Robert Morris) contributed with 12 points and 4 assists for the winners. TG Neuss' coach Janina Pils used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Polish forward Klaudia Grudzien (184-90) replied with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 14 rebounds and Canadian forward Raelyn Prince (191-88) added 15 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Wolfpack Wolfenbuettel. TG Neuss moved-up to fourth place in North, which they share with Opladen. Loser Wolfpack Wolfenbuettel keeps the third position with seven games lost.
