Rather expected game when 10th ranked Baskets Grunberg (8-14) lost to eighth ranked Barmer TV (11-11) in Wuppertal 56-68 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Barmer TV. Baskets Grunberg was better in fourth quarter 13-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a very good performance for guard Wiebke Bruns (178-90, college: Houston Baptist) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 7 assists. American guard Paige Sickmiller (175, college: Wayne St., MI) contributed with 15 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. point guard Nicola Happel (164-92) replied with 12 points and 7 rebounds and forward Laura Steuber (177-90) added 11 points and 7 rebounds (made all of her seven free throws) in the effort for Baskets Grunberg. Four Baskets Grunberg players scored in double figures. Barmer TV have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to sixth place in North, which they share with Lichterfelde and Hannover. Baskets Grunberg lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth position with 14 games lost.
