An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Kirovograd. Third ranked Avantazh-Politekhnik faced leader Zolotoi Vek. Guests from Kharkov (12-6) defeated host Zolotoi Vek (13-5) 104-94. The guests trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 56-43 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great evening for forward Anton Rochnyak (206-91) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 32 points and 11 rebounds. Guard Roman Kozlov (191-90) helped adding 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. The best for the losing side was center Anton Melnik (201-91) with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and Gleb Buzko (193-92) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Avantazh-Politekhnik. They maintain third place with 12-6 record behind leader Zolotoi Vek. Newly promoted Zolotoi Vek still keeps top position with five games lost. Avantazh-Politekhnik will meet at home Khimik-2 (#4) in the next round. Zolotoi Vek will play against Zaporozhye and hope to secure a win.
