Very important is a home loss of third ranked Darussafaka (16-7) against sixteenth ranked Eskisehir Basket (6-17) on Saturday night. Host Darussafaka was defeated by Eskisehir Basket in a tough game in Istanbul 82-89. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Darussafaka. Eskisehir Basket shot the lights out from three nailing 14 long-distance shots on high 53.8 percentage. American forward Marcus Haislip (208-80, college: Tennessee) orchestrated the victory by scoring 36 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds. His fellow American import swingman Matt Walsh (197-82, college: Florida) contributed with 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Eskisehir Basket players scored in double figures. American point guard Jordan Farmar (188-86, college: UCLA) answered with 34 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds and Lithuanian Renaldas Seibutis (196-85) added 16 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) in the effort for Darussafaka. Eskisehir Basket maintains sixteenth place with 6-17 record. Newly promoted Darussafaka dropped to the second position with seven games lost. They share it with Anadolu Efes.
