The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Osnabruck as it allowed them to take a leadership position in North. Osnabruck defeated 6th ranked Lichterfelde at home 64-50. The game without a history. Osnabruck led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. American point guard Angela Pace (178-87, college: Robert Morris) scored 10 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import forward Alysa Horn (182-90, college: Alaska-Anch.) chipped in 10 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side center Julia Sandow (182) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Kristin Greiner (169) scored 14 points. Osnabruck (18-4) have an impressive seven-game winning streak. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Lichterfelde at the other side keeps the sixth place with 11 games lost.
