Regular Season Round 23: Usak - Anadolu Efes 76-75

The most exciting game of round 23 in the TBL took place in Usak. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of second-ranked Anadolu Efes (16-7) to thirteenth ranked Usak (9-14) 76-75 on Sunday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the guest team. The hosts trailed by 12 points after three quarters before their 29-16 charge, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was American point guard Chris Warren (178-88, college: Mississippi) who scored 22 points. His fellow American import guard Courtney Fells (196-86, college: N.Carolina St.) chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds. French point guard Thomas Heurtel (189-89, agency: Beo Basket) produced 14 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists and international Cedi Osman (201-95) added 12 points and 11 rebounds respectively for the guests. Five Anadolu Efes players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Usak moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Istanbul BSB. Anadolu Efes at the other side keeps the second position with seven games lost. They share it with Darussafaka. Usak is looking forward to face league's leader Fenerbahce Ulker in Istanbul in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Anadolu Efes will play at home against Banvit BK and is hoping to win this game.
