Rather expected game when 4th placed BC Kyiv (14-14) was crushed on the road by second ranked Budivelnyk (25-3) 99-65 on Monday. The game without a history. Budivelnyk led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. Budivelnyk outrebounded BC Kyiv 41-28 including a 31-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists. International guard Oleksandr Lypovyy (200-91, agency: Beo Basket) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and naturalized Lithuanian center Michailis Anisimovas (215-84) chipped in 20 points (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Four Budivelnyk players scored in double figures. Budivelnyk's coach Vitaliy Cherniy felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was swingman Pavlo Krutous (195-92) with 19 points and 4 assists and Maksym Lutsenko (188-93) scored 12 points and 5 assists. Budivelnyk have an impressive series of ten victories in a row. Defending champion maintains second place with 25-3 record having just three points less than leader Khimik. BC Kyiv at the other side keeps the fourth position with 14 games lost. Budivelnyk will face league's leader Khimik in Yuzhny in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. BC Kyiv will play at home against BC Odessa and hope to win that game.
