The game in Berdiansk was also quite interesting. 5th ranked Suzirja (2-8) played at the court of sixth ranked Chaika (2-8). Chaika managed to secure a 9-point victory 80-71 on Thursday. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 80-71. Chaika dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Suzirja's 32 and made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Suzirja 44-31 including a 28-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Chaika looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was center Olga Yatskovets (183-97) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 23 rebounds. Swingman Viktoriya Kunda (177-95) chipped in a double-double by scoring 19 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists. Four Chaika players scored in double figures. Forward Iryna Basalyk (176-85) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists and Liudmila Spyrydonova added 13 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for the guests. Chaika moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Suzirja and Blyskavky.
