Very expected game in Frankfurt where 16th ranked Eisbaeren Bremerhaven (9-20) was defeated by eighth ranked Deutsche Bank Skyliners (15-13) 88-79 on Friday. Eisbaeren Bremerhaven trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 20-18 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 79-88 at the end of the game. Deutsche Bank Skyliners looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. American forward Jacob Burtschi (199-84, college: Air Force) fired 36 points (!!!) for the winners. Loser Eisbaeren Bremerhaven dropped to the fourteenth position with 20 games lost. Deutsche Bank Skyliners will face Braunschweig (#11) in Braunschweig in the next round.
