A very interesting game took place in Sibiu. It ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 8th ranked BC Timisoara (12-12) to eleventh ranked CSU Sibiu (10-14) 89-87 on Saturday evening. BC Timisoara was ahead by 4 points after three quarters before a 34-28 charge of CSU Sibiu, which allowed them to win the game. They made 27-of-32 charity shots (84.4 percent) during the game. 29 personal fouls committed by BC Timisoara helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American center Christopher Lee (206-84, college: S.Carolina St.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 18 points and 9 rebounds (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!). International point guard Octavian Calota (186-84) contributed with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Bosnian point guard Zlatko Jovanovic (181-84, agency: Beo Basket) replied with 18 points and Serbian power forward Vladimir Tica (206-81, agency: BeoExcell) added 14 points and 6 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots) in the effort for BC Timisoara. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. CSU Sibiu maintains eleventh position with 10-14 record. BC Timisoara lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with 12 games lost.
