Regular Season Round 34: Lietkabelis - Lietuvos rytas 79-101

LKL top team - Lietuvos rytas (29-4) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed eighth ranked Lietkabelis (10-23) in Panevezys 101-79. The game without a history. Lietuvos rytas led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. International Adas Juskevicius (194-89) scored 13 points and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international center Ksistof Lavrinovic (209-79) chipped in 12 points during the contest. Five Lietuvos rytas players scored in double figures. Lietuvos rytas' coach felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side forward Arnas Labuckas (205-87, agency: Octagon Europe) responded with 20 points and 7 rebounds and naturalized Canadian point guard Evaldas Zabas (188-88) scored 19 points and 5 assists. Lietuvos rytas have an impressive 13-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 29-4 record. Lietkabelis at the other side keeps the eighth place with 23 games lost. Lietuvos rytas will play against P.Zvaigzdes (#5) in Pasvalys in the next round. Lietkabelis will play on the road against Dzukija in Alytus and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
