Regular Season Round 34: P.Zvaigzdes - Tonybet 87-61

No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked P.Zvaigzdes (19-14) crushed 10th ranked Tonybet (6-29) in Pasvalys 87-61 on Tuesday. The game without a history. P.Zvaigzdes led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. P.Zvaigzdes outrebounded Tonybet 41-30 including a 33-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Tonybet was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for American guard Michael Dixon (186-90, college: Memphis) who helped to win the game recording 16 points. Point guard Aidas Viskontas (185-86) contributed with 18 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners. Center Dominykas Milka (203-92, college: St.Rose, NY) replied with 14 points and 6 rebounds and center Simonas Kymantas (212-93) added 9 points in the effort for Tonybet. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. P.Zvaigzdes maintains fifth position with 19-14 record. Tonybet lost twentieth consecutive game. They keep the tenth place with 29 games lost. P.Zvaigzdes will face league's leader Lietuvos rytas in Vilnius in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Tonybet will play at home against Siauliai (#7) and hope to win that game.
