Eleventh-ranked Braunschweig (13-15) used its home court advantage to challenge fifth ranked Telekom Baskets (19-10). The visitors from Bonn managed to secure only three-point victory 75-72. However their fans expected much easier game. Braunschweig cut a 15-point halftime deficit to three at the end of the game. Telekom Baskets made 23-of-29 charity shots (79.3 percent) during the game. 27 personal fouls committed by Braunschweig helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was Lithuanian forward Tadas Klimavicius (204-82) who scored 13 points and 8 rebounds.
