Regular Season Round 28: Final Genclik - Denizli 92-96 OT

Twelfth-ranked Final Genclik (10-18) made lots of trouble for first ranked Denizli (22-6) in Bursa on Saturday. The visitors from Pamukkale managed to secure only four-point victory 96-92. However their fans expected much easier game. Final Genclik was trailing by 7 points at halftime but managed to get 3-point lead after three quarters before a 24-21 charge of Denizli, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time. They were better in overtime eventually winning that period 10-6. Denizli outrebounded Final Genclik 35-24 including 21 on the defensive glass. Final Genclik was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. American guard Osiris Eldridge (191-88, college: Illinois St.) fired 27 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. The other American import Jeremiah Wilson (205-88, college: Tarleton St.) chipped in a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. American forward Damien Kinloch (203-80, college: Tenn Tech) produced 21 points and 7 rebounds and forward Cihad Sahin (203-83) added 18 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Four Final Genclik players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Denizli maintains first position with 22-6 record, which they share with Sakarya BSB. Final Genclik lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the twelfth place with 18 games lost. Denizli will have a break next round. Final Genclik will play on the road against Gelisim (#8) in Izmir and hope to win that game.
