Rather predictable result in Istanbul where third ranked Darussafaka (18-7) smashed 7th ranked Torku Konyaspor (12-13) 84-57 on Saturday. The game without a history. Darussafaka led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 19-of-20 free shots (95.0 percent) during the game. Darussafaka outrebounded Torku Konyaspor 44-33 including 33 on the defensive glass. The former international center Ermal Kuqo (208-80, agency: Beo Basket) stepped up and scored 12 points and 5 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) for the winners and the former international Goksenin Koksal (195-91) chipped in 14 points. Four Darussafaka players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Darussafaka moved-up to second place. Loser Torku Konyaspor dropped to the eighth position with 13 games lost. Darussafaka will face Karsiyaka (#4) on the road in the next round. Torku Konyaspor will play against Anadolu Efes (#3) in Istanbul and hope to win that game.
