The game between Top Four teams took place in Botevgrad. Second ranked host Balkan (17-5) defeated 4th ranked Cherno More (13-8) 81-69. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Cherno More. The hosts trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 12-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 81-69. Balkan looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international Ivan Lilov (196-88) who helped to win the game recording 21 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and Serbian guard Pedja Stamenkovic (190-88, agency: 011 Sports) who added 9 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals during the contest. Balkan's coach Aleksandar Todorov used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was Montenegrin power forward Milos Komatina (205-84) with 21 points and 5 rebounds and American forward Lenny Daniel (203-87, college: CS Northridge) scored 18 points and 6 rebounds. Balkan have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 17-5 record having just two points less than leader Lukoil Acad. Cherno More at the other side dropped to the fifth place with eight games lost. Balkan are looking forward to face Yambol (#7) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Cherno More will play against Rilski in Samokov and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
