A very close game took place in Ankara between Turk Telekom and TED Kolejliler. Tenth ranked Turk Telekom (12-13) got a very close victory on the road over 14th ranked TED Kolejliler (8-17). Turk Telekom managed to escape with a 2-point win 72-70 on Saturday evening. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 22-13. But TED Kolejliler won third quarter 15-10. American guard Kalin Lucas (185-89, college: Michigan St.) produced a double-double by scoring 24 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import guard Clay Tucker (196-80, college: Wisc.-Milwaukee) added 13 points and 5 assists respectively for lost side. TED Kolejliler's coach Burak Goren tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Turk Telekom moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Royal Hali and Torku Konyaspor. TED Kolejliler lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth position with 17 games lost. They share it with Tofas. Turk Telekom will meet at home Usak (#13) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. TED Kolejliler will play against Royal Hali in Gaziantep and hope to secure a win.
