Regular Season Round 32: Gussing - Gmunden 69-73

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Gussing. Third ranked Gmunden Swans faced second-ranked Gussing Knights. Guests from Gmunden (20-12) defeated host Gussing Knights (22-10) 73-69. The guests trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 38-32 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. The game was dominated by American players. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Billy McShepard (208-87, college: Valdosta St., agency: Blacktop Management) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 9 rebounds and forward Tyler Griffey (206-90, college: Illinois, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) who added 16 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Forward Travis Taylor (203-90, college: Xavier) responded with 23 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Christopher Dunn (189-83, college: W.Virginia St.) scored 17 points, 6 assists and 4 steals. Four Gussing Knights players scored in double figures. Gmunden Swans have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 20-12 record having just three points less than leader Zepter Vienna. Defending champion Gussing Knights keep the second place with ten games lost. Gmunden Swans will meet league's leader Zepter Vienna in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Gussing Knights will play against Furstenfeld Panthers and hope to secure a win.
