Regular Season Round 29: Bayreuth - TBB Trier 96-82

No shocking result in a game when fifteenth ranked BBC Bayreuth (10-20) beat at home bottom-ranked TBB Trier (5-20) 96-82 on Monday. The game was mostly controlled by BBC Bayreuth. TBB Trier was better in fourth quarter 29-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. American forward Brandon Bowman (206-84, college: Georgetown) orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points and 7 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Ronnie Burrell (204-83, college: NC-Greensboro) contributed with 18 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. BBC Bayreuth's coach Michael Koch used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Lithuanian guard Laurynas Samenas (192-88) answered with 21 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) and American guard Ricky Harris (187-87, college: Massachusetts) added 16 points and 4 assists in the effort for TBB Trier. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. BBC Bayreuth moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with Bremerhaven. TBB Trier lost third consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 20 games lost. BBC Bayreuth will face Walter Tigers (#16) in Tuebingen in the next round. TBB Trier will play at home against Deutsche Bank Skyliners and hope to win that game.
