Regular Season Round 32: Arkadia - Wels 71-91

Date: April 6, 2015
The game in Traiskirchen supposed to be also worth to mention about. Sixth ranked Raiffeisen Wels (18-14) played at the court of 7th ranked Arkadia Lions (15-17). Raiffeisen Wels did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 91-71. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Arkadia Lions. Raiffeisen Wels shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. The winners were led by American point guard Wesley Channels (190-88, college: Austin Peay St.) who scored that evening 24 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and international Romed Vieider (195-91) supported him with 16 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Even 16 points and 7 assists by Serbian guard Petar Torlak (185-91, college: E.Carolina) did not help to save the game for Arkadia Lions. Argentinian-Italian forward Fabricio Vay (207-86, agency: Interperformances) added 11 points and 9 rebounds for the hosts. Four Arkadia Lions players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Raiffeisen Wels moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Klosterneuburg. Arkadia Lions at the other side keep the seventh position with 17 games lost. Raiffeisen Wels' next round opponent will be Redwell Gunners Oberwart (#8) at home. Arkadia Lions will play against Kapfenberg Bulls and hope to win that game.
