The game in Panevezys supposed to be also quite interesting. Fifth ranked P.Zvaigzdes (20-15) played at the court of 8th ranked Lietkabelis (10-25). P.Zvaigzdes did not have too big problems ending evening with a very confident victory 95-78 on Wednesday. The game without a history. P.Zvaigzdes led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Gytis Sirutavicius (195-83) who helped to win the game recording 21 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and forward Laimonas Kisielius (203-85, college: William & Mary) who added 19 points and 4 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was naturalized Canadian point guard Evaldas Zabas (188-88) with 15 points and 6 assists and the former international forward Dainius Salenga (197-77) scored 15 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. P.Zvaigzdes maintains fifth position with 20-15 record. Lietkabelis lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with 25 games lost. P.Zvaigzdes will meet higher ranked Juventus (#4) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Lietkabelis will have a break next round.
