Regular Season Round 25: Chernomorets - Spartak Pleven 77-89

Spartak Pleven can celebrate finally their first win this season after 21 consecutive loses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in Burgas, where they defeated Chernomorets (2-20) 89-77. The game was mostly controlled by Spartak Pleven. Chernomorets was better in third quarter 25-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international Stanislav Vaklinov (207-89, agency: Interperformances) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 29 points and 12 rebounds (on 13-of-16 shooting from the field). Swingman Vasil Aleksandrov (199-90) contributed with 19 points and 6 assists for the winners. point guard Dimitar Roshmanov (188-85) answered with 24 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) and forward Konstantin Koev (196-91) added 21 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Chernomorets. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Spartak Pleven maintains ninth place with 1-21 record. It was Chernomorets' ninth loss in a row. They keep the eighth position with 20 games lost. Spartak Pleven will play against higher ranked Cherno More (#4) in Varna in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Chernomorets will play at home against the league's leader Lukoil Acad. (#1) having rather not much hope for a victory.
