Very expected game in Ankara where 13th ranked Usak (10-16) was defeated by eighth ranked Turk Telekom (13-13) 90-82 on Saturday. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 31-21. But Usak won third quarter 19-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Turk Telekom made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. American forward Josh Carter (200-88, college: Texas A&M) scored 19 points to lead the charge for the winners and the former international point guard Baris Ermis (194-85) chipped in 16 points and 5 assists during the contest. Turk Telekom moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Royal Hali and Banvit BK. Loser Usak keeps the thirteenth position with 16 games lost. Turk Telekom will meet Banvit BK (#7) in the next round. Usak will play against Royal Hali (#8) and hope to secure a win.
