Regular Season Round 20: Crnomelj - Parklji 84-79

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both fourth ranked Crnomelj and 5th ranked Parklji had identical 11-8 record. This time Crnomelj used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Bezigrad 84-79 on Saturday night. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 26-13. But Parklji won second period 12-6. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was power forward Anze Cerkovnik (200-86) who had a double-double by scoring 27 points and 15 rebounds. Guard Matic Lozar (183-92) chipped in 20 points and 8 rebounds. Matija Radanovic (-95) produced 23 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Nejc Kobal (183-91) added 19 points respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Parklji's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Crnomelj maintains fourth position with 12-8 record, which they share with Elektro Gorenjska. Loser Parklji dropped to the sixth place with nine games lost. They share the position with Geoplin Slovan. Crnomelj will meet at home bottom-ranked Litija (#12) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Parklji will play against Geoplin Slovan (#7) in Ljubljana and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
