Regular Season Round 37: Juventus - P.Zvaigzdes 62-74

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 4th placed Juventus (21-14) lost to fifth ranked P.Zvaigzdes (21-15) in Utena 62-74. Juventus was ahead by 5 points at the halftime before a 42-25 second half run of P.Zvaigzdes. Juventus was plagued by 32 personal fouls down the stretch. American guard Michael Dixon (186-90, college: Memphis) stepped up and scored 13 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners and his fellow American import power forward Alex Oriakhi (208-90, college: Connecticut) chipped in 12 points and 10 rebounds. Five P.Zvaigzdes players scored in double figures. At the losing side American-Samoan point guard Rashaun Broadus (180-84, college: BYU, agency: Octagon Europe) responded with 12 points and 5 rebounds and forward Arvydas Siksnius (196-87, college: Weatherford JC) scored 13 points and 4 assists. P.Zvaigzdes maintains fifth place with 21-15 record. Juventus at the other side keeps the fourth position with 14 games lost. P.Zvaigzdes will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Juventus will play on the road against Lietkabelis (#8) in Panevezys and hopes to get back on the winning track.
