Regular Season Round 30: Istanbul DSI - Denizli 67-72

TB2L top team - Denizli (24-6) added another victory to their record on Wednesday. This time they beat fourteenth ranked Istanbul DSI (9-21) 72-67. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Istanbul DSI won fourth quarter 20-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was American Tyler Stone (203-91, college: SE Missouri St.) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 15 rebounds. Power forward Ali Isik (206-90) chipped in 12 points. At the other side the best for losing team was Surinamese-Dutch guard Charlon Kloof (190-90, college: St.Bonaventure) who recorded a double-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists and American forward Esian Henderson (206-86, college: Central Mo.) added 13 points and 11 rebounds respectively. Four Istanbul DSI players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Denizli have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 24-6 record. Loser Istanbul DSI dropped to the fifteenth place with 21 games lost. They share the position with Pertevniyal. Denizli will meet at home Adanaspor (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Istanbul DSI will play against Gelisim (#8) in Izmir and hope to secure a win.
