Second Stage Round 5: Leotar - Zrinjski HT 89-75

Leotar has registered their first victory this season after four consecutive loses. They used home court advantage to defeat Zrinjski HT (0-5) 89-75 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Leotar. Zrinjski HT managed to win fourth quarter 23-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Leotar had a 34-20 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Serbian swingman Danilo Negovanovic (194-88) who scored 17 points and 7 assists. Serbian center Dusan Cvetkovic (205-89, agency: Beo Basket) chipped in 18 points and 7 rebounds. Montenegrin center Mihailo Sekulovic (205-91) produced 17 points and 5 rebounds and forward Alin Demic (202-91) added 11 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the guests. Five Leotar and four Zrinjski HT players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Leotar (1-4) left bottom position moving up to fifth place. It was Zrinjski HT's fifth loss in a row. They still close the standings with five games lost. Leotar will meet at home league's second-placed Igokea in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Zrinjski HT will play against the league's leader Siroki Primorka (#1) in Siroki Brijeg and hopes to get finally their first victory.
