Regular Season Round 21: Crnomelj - Litija 75-70

Very expected game when 12th ranked Litija (3-18) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked Crnomelj (13-8) 75-70 on Wednesday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Litija won third quarter 18-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Crnomelj won last quarter 28-25. They made 22-of-24 free shots (91.7 percent) during the game. Point guard Nejc Zupan (203-96) stepped up and scored 28 points and 6 rebounds (went 14 for 14 at the free throw line !!!) for the winners and power forward Anze Cerkovnik (200-86) chipped in 16 points and 10 rebounds. The best for the losing side was guard Gasper Ovnik (188-82) with 9 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and swingman Igor Deskovic (191-85) scored 15 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Crnomelj maintains fourth place with 13-8 record. Litija lost their eleventh game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 18 games lost. They share it with Ajdovscina. Crnomelj will meet Ajdovscina (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Litija will play against Geoplin Slovan and hope to secure a win.
