Regular Season Round 31: Art.Dragons - Goettingen 73-84

Date: April 18, 2015
Everything could happen in Quakenbrueck at the game between two tied teams. Both eleventh ranked BG Goettingen and 10th ranked Artland Dragons had identical 14-16 record. But Artland Dragons were not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Goettingen 84-73 on Saturday night. The game without a history. BG Goettingen led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. The game was also dominated by American players. Point guard Khalid El-Amin (178-79, college: Connecticut) fired 24 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Power forward Raymar Morgan (202-88, college: Michigan St.) chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds. Four BG Goettingen players scored in double figures. Forward Lawrence Hill (203-87, college: Stanford) produced 8 points and 11 rebounds and guard Antonio Graves (191-85, college: Pittsburgh, agency: Two Points) added 21 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. BG Goettingen (15-16) moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Braunschweig. Artland Dragons lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the eleventh position with 17 games lost. BG Goettingen will face Braunschweig (#10) in Braunschweig in the next round. Artland Dragons will play on the road against the league's second-placed Brose Baskets having rather not much hope for a victory.
