Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked Lusitania (12-10) defeated bottom-ranked Sampaense (5-17) in Coimbra 78-66 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Lusitania. Sampaense managed to win fourth quarter 14-9. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Sampaense 46-23 including a 32-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a very good performance for American center Blake Poole (196-88, college: St.Martin's) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds.
