The game with biggest result difference took place in Akdeniz. Local Mersin (7-24) lost to thirteenth ranked Final Genclik (12-19) 83-67 on Saturday night. The game was mostly controlled by Final Genclik. Mersin was better in third quarter 20-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 22-of-28 free shots (78.6 percent) during the game, while Mersin only scored four points from the stripe. American forward Damien Kinloch (203-80, college: Tenn Tech) fired 17 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. His fellow American import guard Reginald Holmes (193-87, college: Morgan St., agency: Two Points) chipped in 22 points. Final Genclik will face higher ranked Meliksah (#8) in Kayseri in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Mersin will play on the road against Akhisar Bld (#5) and hope to win that game.
