Important game to mention about took place in Sakaraya. Fifth ranked Akhisar Bld (20-11) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging much higher ranked Sakarya BSB (23-8) 72-69 on Saturday evening. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 21-12. But Sakarya BSB won second period 20-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of center Hakan Yapar (202-84) who helped to win the game recording 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Burak Sasmaz (-91) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Forward Hadi Ozdemir (203-83) answered with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 13 rebounds and American LaceDarius Dunn (193-87, college: Baylor, agency: Three Eye Sports) added 16 points in the effort for Sakarya BSB. Sakarya BSB's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Akhisar Bld maintains fifth place with 20-11 record. Newly promoted Sakarya BSB keeps the second position with eight games lost. They share it with Balikesir and Buyukcekmece. Akhisar Bld will play against bottom-ranked Mersin (#18) in Akdeniz in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Sakarya BSB will play on the road against Istanbul DSI (#16) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
