LKL top team - Lietuvos rytas (34-4) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed eleventh ranked Mazeikiai (3-33) 83-60. The game without a history. Lietuvos rytas led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Mike Moser (203-90, college: Oregon) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 5 rebounds. The former international center Antanas Kavaliauskas (208-84, college: Texas A&M, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 13 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Lietuvos rytas players scored in double figures. American forward Tyler Olander (208-92, college: Connecticut, agency: Octagon Europe) replied with 4 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Arvydas Gydra (206-89) added 14 points in the effort for Mazeikiai. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Lietuvos rytas have an impressive 18-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 34-4 record. Mazeikiai lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay dead last with 33 lost games. Lietuvos rytas are looking forward to face Siauliai (#7) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Mazeikiai will play against Lietkabelis (#8) and is hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series.
