Round 35 in A Bundesliga means a new league leader. The biggest surprise took place in Traiskirchen where host Arkadia Lions (17-18) beat league's leader Gussing Knights (24-11) 83-76 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Gussing Knights. The game without a history. Arkadia Lions led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was Serbian guard Petar Torlak (185-91, college: E.Carolina, agency: Interperformances) who scored 27 points (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!). The former international forward Florian Trmal (199-89, agency: Dynamics Global Management) chipped in 23 points. Four Arkadia Lions players scored in double figures. American forward Travis Taylor (203-90, college: Xavier) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds and Bulgarian Chavdar Kostov (195-88, agency: Interperformances) added 13 points respectively for the guests. Arkadia Lions moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Oberwart. Defending champion Gussing Knights dropped to the second position with 11 games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Zepter Vienna. Gussing Knights will play next round against Dukes trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Arkadia Lions will try to continue on its current victory against seventh ranked Redwell Gunners Oberwart on the road.
