Regular Season Round 32: Goettingen - Braunschweig 77-67

Date: April 24, 2015
Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both ninth ranked BG Goettingen and 10th ranked Braunschweig had identical 15-16 record. This time BG Goettingen used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Braunschweig 77-67 on Friday night. Braunschweig was trailing by 5 points at halftime but managed to get 3-point lead after three quarters before a 23-10 charge of BG Goettingen, which allowed them to win the game. American players dominated the game. The winners were led by power forward Raymar Morgan (202-88, college: Michigan St.) who scored that evening 18 points and 7 rebounds and guard Alex Ruoff (198-86, college: W.Virginia, agency: Inception Sports) supported him with 13 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Even 20 points and 6 rebounds by forward Derrick Allen (203-80, college: Mississippi) did not help to save the game for Braunschweig. Guard Trent Lockett (196-90, college: Marquette) added 11 points and 6 assists for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. BG Goettingen (16-16) moved-up to eighth place. Loser Braunschweig keeps the tenth position with 17 games lost. BG Goettingen will meet Mitteldeutscher BC (#12) in the next round. Braunschweig will play against TBB Trier and hope to secure a win.
